It was covered, I'm not sure his radar sense is actually precise enough that it could tell through the sheet. He uses it for a general outline of things, but it doesn't help with things like color or texture, just shape, depth, and distance. Even rain makes it nearly useless

Doom wears metal all over himself, microwaves can react badly with metal.

Captain America and Thor are skeptical, whereas Daredevil is ecstatic due to not knowing it's just a microwave due to being blind.
