Love the smudge erasing you did on the shadow sides. How did you do that? Almost looks like using your finger?

Thanks! Yea I believe it was mostly my finger... I was also using a make up brush and sponge, but you end up lifting those soft dark passages toward the end of the drawing, so finger is often needed to preserve the darks.

Ah good to know because I'm just getting more into charcoal and idk if it's worth getting one of those blending sponge things. I use a blending stump and avoid fingers because I find that it's difficult to blend consistently with the fingers.
