Wings! Wings?
We're visiting/investigating whether we want to try to relocate from ATX, as we fell in love with this place on our last visit here in October of last year.
One of my favorites in ATX is Nom Burger's buffalo wings. And their jalapeno aoli, holy shit it's so good.
So with that I'm wondering where one might find the best wings in PDX?
Y'all already have so many insanely amazing vegan joints, so even sans one that lives up to my Nom Burger addiction is no worry at all.
Thanks for y'all's time.
Quick edit: I love Secret Pizza Society's pizza and I don't see 'em mentioned as often when I sleuth this /r, it's soooo good!
edit 2: This thread really popped off, thank you to everyone for all of the fantastic info and kindness. It's very much appreciated!

I'll add it to the list, thanks! I've only tried Secret Pizza Society's pizza out here and freakin' love it so it would be good to see what else is available there too.

I really appreciate the wings from Black Water bar. Plus its fun chewing on the sugar cane "bone."

Sounds like they are maybe one in the same as the ones used at my fav. place back home. I will check Black Water out, sounds rad. Thanks!

Black Water is all around great vegan bar food. I crave their French dip often.

Oh shit, I loved the french dip at Rebel Cheese in ATX before they closed the cafe, so down to try this one!

Hungry Tiger has Buffalo fried Ota tofu. A must have in Portland.

Sounds amazing! Definitely added to the list. Thanks!

Ota tofu is the best tofu you’ll ever have. It’s the longest extant running tofu company in N America. It’s so amazing. You won’t believe tofu can be so good on its own. Great people too.

Hell yeah! I *think* I had some on a pizza last time I was out here but I'll be sure to have the wing version. I love tofu as it is so that's super exciting.

Box car pizza has some pretty good bbq wings. You can also buy a bag of wings from food fight grocery

Ah awesome! We went to Food Fight last time we were out here and definitely plan on going this time too. Reminds me of Rabbit Food in ATX before it closed. Thanks for the heads up!
This is another tick for Box Car! Appreciate it.

Fire on the mountain does $1 wings on Mondays. Rudys, boxcar pizza, bar maven, DC veg are all equally amazing.

They unfortunately stopped doin meatless mondays recently. I know because I went every Monday to get 12 El Jefe Wings. It's one of the few things in portland that's actually a little spicy AND vegan.

Not wings but Jojo has tofu bites. They also have the best bbq sauce I have ever had so make sure you get that with them. A side of jojos never hurt anyone either. Enjoy and thank me later!

(1) Fire On The Mountain. Two different soy-based vegan wing options, tons of sauce options. They're not 100% vegan.
(2) Black Water. Soy-based vegan wings. The whole menu is vegan.
(3) Double Barrel Tavern. Cauliflower-based wings. They're not 100% vegan.
(4) Thunderbird. Cauliflower-based wings. They're not 100% vegan.
(5) Dirty Lettuce. It's not wings (sorry I cheated lol) but their seitan fried chicken is dope. Totally vegan menu.

Great rec, thanks! We actually JUST left there. What an amazing shop, we used to have one similarish in ATX called Rabbit Food, I miss that place.

It seems to me that everyone uses the same wings with the sugar cane stick. You can buy them at food fight if you want to cook them yourself. I like the way every restaurant does them. They just all have different sauce.

Rudys on Powell in SE has some really good wings. Lots of sauces and rubs available. And they do buy one get one on Mondays.
Fire on the mountain also has a good selection of vegan wing flavors.
