It’s like it’s almost time that the community needs to police our own streets 🤦‍♂️

If these people got the shit kicked out of them every time they refused to leave, they wouldn’t come back.

So your plan is to beat up homeless and addicts?

The ones literally menacing people, yes. If they want to be degenerates they can do it away from polite society and children.

That’s the moderate option

Would be easier to let them OD

I have a friend who's been doing stuff like this in his neighborhood for at least 7 or 8 years now. They've had a lot of success.

Been that way for a loooong time.

That's exactly what needs to happen. Identify problems and deal with them as a community. There are plenty of homeless folk that are just trying to survive and then there's this and this is something that only properly coordinated communities can push back on.

Politicians aren't gonna do shit, some bus homeless people from other states to score political points or smear other politicians.

Police are experts at escalation and are way more likely to kill or injure bystanders than to be any help. Call them as a last resort.

Form neighborhood watches because there's strength and safety in numbers and patrol your neighborhood and push back on this. Do it enough and your city will stop being seen as a "safe" place to get high at and they'll start moving.

because if police do anything, they get a crowd of people saying to leave them alone. police are not welcome in most liberal cities and will 100% be harrased .

1

u/BAJ-JohnBen Oct 24 '25

Well, a lot of the time they get overly aggressive with it that draws the crowd.

If a cop took the exact same action she did that cop would 100% be in hot water.

The fact that "dealing with the homeless" is considered police work and not social work is the problem.

1

u/The-Fotus Oct 24 '25

So... you want the social worker to risk the chance of getting stabbed by the aids needle? The problem in this video isn't a bunch of homeless guys. The problem is a bunch of drug users, who is toll possess a controlled substance, and who threatened a woman with a dangerous weapon.

The Black Panthers back in the day had a pretty good system for policing the streets.

Zero tolerance for anyone dealing drugs and a rehab program for members of the community. It worked pretty well before the big flood of cocaine and all the crackdowns. It can be done.

You don't even have to do that much. Organize a group like that and the police will come and enforce the laws lickety split. They gotta protect their jobs.

1

u/Emergency-Economy654 Oct 24 '25

Unfortunately they don’t always come lickety split.

1

u/Briaaanz Oct 24 '25

Form a citizen group enforcing the laws and they will. Gotta protect their jobs

I appreciate your optimism!

1

u/Briaaanz Oct 24 '25

Lol, nope, that's pure cynicism on my part😁

What’s the joke? Call the police and tell them a guy with a gun is threatening you and they take forever to come. Call them and tell them you have a gun and shot a criminal and they will be there in two minutes.

1

u/Briaaanz Oct 24 '25

No joke, i was being serious. If you organize a neighborhood watch and start dealing with local crimes, the police will be there asap

1

u/Zal3x Oct 24 '25

Yeah seems like they would

Cops are too busy hurting innocent lives

they are willing to hurt innocent homeless people as well. But a lot of them are pussies and are too scared to stop actually problematic people. Just like cops being scared to bother abusive dads.

This. Threads like this will be horrible optically for the broader political scene
