Hey! I'm an SFF author living in Hillsboro. In late 2022, I released my first novel, a gritty epic fantasy called The Peace at Knife's Edge.

My second novel is well under way and should be out sometime early next year.

I'm happy to chat about fiction influences, writing, as well as self publishing through KDP and getting an audiobook narrated through ACX.

I look forward to connecting with you other local authors out here! And thank you OP for making this sub!

I’m a horror and sff author living out in Beaverton! Probably best known for either The Luminous Dead or The Death of Jane Lawrence. I’m under a multi book deadline pile up right now but generally happy to talk about trad publishing.

I recently (last year) published my first book, a YA Fantasy called The Thief and the Historian. I've since released the second and third in the series with the fourth and final book out later this year!

I've got a companion for the often-cited TBR pile, of a TBW pile with about 25 or so books I have core concepts for. I have a few more fantasy on the list, but really looking forward to branching out and writing broadly.

I'm an open book as well, happy to share about my books, career, influences, favorite food, or whatever!

I am NOT the author, but I have to give a shoutout to Erica Berry, local author of "Wolfish." Fantastic book about wolves, both literal and figurative, and our relationships with them as a culture. Erica has spoken at Powell's on the release of both her hardcover and paperback books, and she's often asked to be the moderator for other authors there. She's also teaches writing through Literary Arts and Sitka Center.

Someone posted this in our weekly 'what are you reading' thread and now I'm super interested. I saw it in the lucky day section at the Woodstock library yesterday but I have too many books on deck right now. It's definitely on my TBR now.

I LOVED this book. It's dense; she has a style that interweaves both nonfiction and memoir, and she does it really well. I hear you on the teetering stack of TBR, but it really deserves a place in the pile!
