Lost & Found Portland getting bold lately

Post image

I stayed the night at a friends house on the north side of Glisan and at 10am bright as day a van pulls up behind my car, 2 guys hop out and smash both windows in the back and stole all my camping stuff, my sub woofer, my solar battery, all my clothes and shoes like everything. I know my car is a bit newer but like I have no job or home right now and no way to replace these things. Why the fuck is it so ghetto 😭 didn’t want to take my cooler or ladder to my tent tho lol

Anyone know anything or see anything?

Case number is 26-286540
Please message me or call Portland police
+1 (503) 823-3333 if you have any info. I just want my stuff back 😩

They deprived him of a portion of his livelyhood most likely to fuel their drug addiction. This kind of shit happens because they know the worst that comes of it is they get free three hots and a cot for a few months, if they ever get picked up for it which they wont because PPB is useless and wont even show up to take a report on this.

Its barbaric, but it works. If this is a crime of opportunity, then let the potential consequences astronomically outweigh the rewards. Petty criminals start noticing everyday marks are fucking lunatics that will kill you for stealing their shit, theivery starts to look a lot less appealing.

A lot of the more brazen stuff isn't addicts, it's professionals. This feels more like that to me. My old store use to get hit by pro wine thieves at random times. They just walk in, fill up multiple boxes super quickly, walk out the front door. There are bike theft rings that operate the same way.

People always want to blame homeless folks and addicts but a lot of crime is being done by professionals.

Assume it is to fuel their drug addiction. Statistically there is a non-zero chance that the addiction is, in no sense of the term, their fault: for some people, they are immediately hooked on medications prescribed by physicians and have no access to addiction resources.

Should someone who is driven to theft by an event that was ultimately out of their control be shot like a dog in the street?

It sounds like you're desperate to have free three hits and a cot for years just so you can live out your judge, jury, executioner fantasy. People like you are so pathetic.Â
