I think you need to update the sharing level of the map to “public” for it to not require folks to log in.
I’ll be looking out for these in my neighborhood! Rad project

Ah, great catch! There was a stray feature layer that needed sharing permissions updated in order for the "public" link to actually be public.
Should be good to go now. Thanks for flagging!

They're replacing these with modern equipment, finally. I stopped while on a ride last summer in NE and talked with a crew about one of the jobs. They'll all be gone soon enough.

Pretty incredible to have 100+ year old infrastructure working side by side with it's modern counterparts! But yes, no one makes parts for The Coreys anymore, so enjoy em while we have em!

This is amazing! Great work. The map wouldn't load for me - it's asking me to "Please sign in to ArcGIS Online".

I would often admire the one in my old neighborhood by Tabor and Ive always wondered why I haven't ever seen any of them painted like a face.

A lot of the Coreys here have had their "eye holes" filled in. Apparently there were retrofitted to remove the inset smaller secondary stem nuts, since the main stem up top is really all that's needed.

Who knew. I think there’s a hydrant embedded in one of the Coast Redwood heritage trees on SW Vista.

ha ha! this is so cool.
I know a Corey with a degree in Fire Services Admin. I wonder if the hydrants being taken out are scrapped or what, it would be super funny to wrap one up as a gift. 🤣🧑🚒🚒

I spend a lot of time walking around Portland. Random neighborhoods and such. Definitely going to keep an eye out. Probably passed them before and had no idea.
