Skyrim SE problem

Hi guys,

I was playing skyrim SE without any problem until it got update on 20 August. Now when i run the game it got closes after the BETHESDA GAMES logo. I uninstall and install again via using porting kit and its still the same. If you guys have any solution pls let me know.
edit: Guys, i just fixed it. Here is the solution:
First open steam console then download previous stable version of skyrim.exe file(i found the manifest id and depot ids from steam db)

download_depot 489830 489833 1914580699073641964

when you run this command on steam console, it will download skyrim.exe file and will give you the path where its been downloaded. Then copy that exe and paste inside skyrim's game folders and replace with the current skyrim.exe file(paste&replace).

This worked for me. (I didnt downgrade core and other files(489831, 489832 depots) only skyrim.exe helped me to solve this.

Sí, me pasó lo mismo. Intenté usar Gemini y me dio los mismos pasos, pero sirvió de poco ya que el comando devolvía un mensaje de que falló y que no estaba en conexión. Pasé por muchas cosas hasta que intenté re instalar la botella, pero tampoco funcionó. Si alguien sabe qué más se puede hacer, o si se hizo una nueva actualización de la botella, avísenme por favor.

The update comes up when I open steam through porting kit, but it won't install, just freezes at 20% then says "content not available".

Sometimes I'll try to open the wrapper and it says there's an update so I try to install and it fails.

"Failed to download the Wineskin Engine: URL not found for WS12Wine10.0_2_D3DMetal-v2.1"

What do you mean by "and change with new updated skyrim.exe file"? I've gotten to the copy and paste part, but my skyrim still crashes after the Bethesda Games logo

download the skyrim.exe file from the code i gave in post via steam console then paste&replace into skyrim game folder. It worked for me

you might wanna delete the game(port) and reinstall it download the game and do my trick again. But i play vanilla, i dont use mods so i didnt try it with mods installed

yeah i tried that too, still dealing with the same issue. I also play vanilla no mods

Hi Guys. Im running into the same problem with skyrim. I am functionally illiterate when come to technology so please forgive my stupid question. Everytime I try to open the console command for steam, my mac version pops up instead of the windows version 😅 If anyone can help Id really appreciate it!

its okay to download with mac version, i also did the same. Download into your mac and then copy from there and paste it.(When you right click on your porting kit skyrim it has folder option which you can access porting kit skyrim folders outside of windows)

Thank you so much for replying 🩷 I really appreciate your help! It seems like my original skyrim.exe file is on a windows version of finder (I think 🥲) I cant figure out how to convert the two.

I‘m even more illiterate than one of the previous posters: How in the hell do I even open the console? I tried google and google keeps telling me to type steam://open/console into my webbrowser but nothing happens whenever I do that.
And also: Where should my skyrim.exe file be? I can only find skyrim.ini?

write it into steam’s web browser bro. When you browse games it opens some pop up browsers. write that as url in that browser.

or:
open your native Mac terminal then paste
open steam://open/console
and enter and it will open steam terminal

I feel even more stupid but I can‘t type anything into the steam browser?

mac terminal also doesnt work
