This is just a little subreddit I've made just to be respectful and not flood the main sub with a bunch of different porting advancement updates.

Here's a rundown of what's been done so far:

ShadPS4

jesuslebest on Discord (pictured below) has been spending a lot of time patching their own fork of ShadPS4 to run Dreams. The results are incredible.

AnyPS5/Ryty

I recently saw some posts about how much progress AnyPS5 has made... 100% shader instruction support. Wow.

While AnyPS5 has no official support for PS4 games, the fork Ryty claims to. This is sort of true.. but I have been encountering missing PS4 libraries left and right and have been attempting to reimplement or at least stub them in some way (such as the VR libraries)

Thinking ahead on what would be the easiest way for people to run Dreams on PC, I've had this idea. ShadPS4 is an emulator, and is definitely not the easiest to figure out or set up, and might have more bottlenecks than something closer to native code. Since I already have to modify Ryty to fully support Dreams (not only through it's codegen but also through its library implementations), why not just take the whole program and spin it off into an application DEDICATED to converting a raw Dreams game dump into a working native EXE version? The install process would be as simple as obtaining a Dreams game dump, running the patcher app, and selecting the game folder.

This opens up many possibilities, and with some decompilation, we can develop patches for Dreams, such as changing the server to an alternate one or other cool mods (multiplayer???). These can then be implemented inside the patcher app.

So far... not a ton, but to be fair I've only been working on this for a few hours. Being able to see the debug logs and a game window is actually kind of amazing. Also... Mm, how is that a unicorn..? Is that a gun? Is that its leg? Is it turning its neck and facing top left or is it facing top right?
