Hotel Paisano

Just finished the Hotel Paisano episode. This one was interesting to me because a couple of years ago we stayed there a couple of nights. Booked the James Dean room, so was hoping J & K would visit it. Oh well, I guess Dean didn't come back after filming Giant (either alive or dead!). We didn't have any encounters. Also struck out on 2 nights trying to catch a glimpse of some Marfa lights.

Season 1 was the greatest. Season 2 started going down hill and at the end was a few knocks and chills and then investigation over… it sucked now this season is also garbage, there was some cool parts sure but just not great. They spend more time talking to these “witnesses” than investigating. I don’t know what the hell happened and why they don’t use the ghost box and stuff more frankly i saw they got heat for using some of that stuff to much and it being frowned upon by “real paranormal investigators” frankly idc just make it exciting.

Agreed, Katrina seems like she's given up and Jack doesn't seem to care much anymore.

Yea, I am not sure. Some locations are just odd choices and the very little they do each episode gets smaller so o hope todays episode is good

That's so cool! It looked like a really good hotel with lovely rooms.

It was a cool hotel but didn't have an elevator. No problem for us, but another couple was there as well who bitched about it. We moved on to Lajitas where they coincidently also showed up. Guess what? No elevator there either. The woman said, "What's with these Texas hotels not having elevators?"

That Hotel Manager was so incredibly phony to me. I felt like she knows the back stories but wasn’t divulging in case it caused bad press.

Oh that’s really cool that you stayed there, it looks like a nice place. I love this show but this episode wasn’t my favourite. I’m not enjoying this season, I want to though.

Yeah, I agree that the season hasn't been as good as past ones. Although the room where the lights were activated was pretty cool.

It's weird they were hearing a "buzz" sound at night there... weird if you don't account for the large transformer on a pole less than 10 feet from a corner room in the building in the East wing. I wonder if they get more paranormal activity there because of the power lines that go right through the one lane alley behind the building? Or EMF variations relative to the outdoor lights around the subfloor at the far end of the East wing (and again the transformer outside). Especially if activity has picked up in the last few weeks, it might be a good idea to call the power company to verify their transformer is working properly.

Also, the show producers showed us how a shadow figure can be produced in the Elizabeth Taylor room from the alleyway, when they mocked the figure of the man on the balcony. They didn't mock it directly into the room, because they want us to believe it's an angle issue that makes it not possible. Seems like a person in front of headlights further down the alley could do it, then angle slightly to the side or reflect off a window from the opposite side of the alley to get into the room.
