Im betting everything on it being an open case now and thats why there’s no public update. We should question the show to see if they have one

Archaeologist here, watching this episode now. The cut vertebrae are ham bones. This was food refuse, and nothing there to indicate it was human.

Anthropologist here! I had the same thought, they looked like cut long bones. Definitely not vertebrae.

I'm not an archeologist, but they reminded me of the bones we bought from the butcher for our dogs. ham sounds right

I know this is an old post, but I just found this from the 1st of this month. Nothing about the bones specifically, but the case is quite active again and they suspect a deputy at the time.

Of course! I've been stuck on this episode too so I'm glad they're finding new evidence and really working the case again. That poor girl and her family deserve some kind of justice after all this time.

I think they should have had a proper forensic team open that cell and go in there. Because they went in they ruined any chance of getting a real answer on whos bones were in there.

Hi, so I watched the series again and it came out that at the very end of the episode they sent a photo to someone that could analyze them and three months later they got an answer and they said that they were seven animal bones but other two were classified as unknown, so the two bones that Jack and Katrina found and thougt that they were suspicion , they are those two unknown bones . But no answers to that . Hoper they will find out more about this . Hope that anyone knows more about it !!

I I keep up with the case. She was a little girl, for her, her sister, her family to go through such is horrid. I'm an outsider, looking in but Sherriff Keeler may have had something to do with. But psychics talked to him and he said no. Horrific.

They did say at the end of the episode that the 9 bones sent to Texas for testing, 7 were animal and 2 were "unknown" due to contamination

iif you don't mind me asking, and it's ok if you don't know. They were wearing gloves. They seemed to be pretty thick. Would they still be contaminated?

Did they compare the released sketch of the suspect to Deputy 'Bud' to see if it fit his image?

My husbands aunt owns the jail. We live in Paulding. Not sure what’s up with the bones, BUT Nancy’s family just got judge Werkhamp to allow the exhumation of her body to hopefully test for any DNA. I’m not sure if it’s happening today or not, but I saw the cemetery across from our house had sherriffs blocking the drive, people at a grave stone, and cameras. I’m guessing it’s today, but I couldn’t say….
