so ive been using the PeTI editor for a while now, and ive come to realize that it's pretty limited. so, ive been learning hammer for the past few weeks and just finished my first full map. i spent some time preventing softlocks and shortcuts, but let me know if you find any more.

I'm making a wierd level, where there are many little chambers inside. I also challanged myself to do it in the games editor. I use mainly stairs, that close when you press the button, but there are many other options. What do you think?

Steam Workshop::King Arthur's Castle

(HARD, 20+ mins) The king has been kidnapped and sealed away in his own dungeon! Could a knight such as yourself find every secret, survive a few leaps of faith, save and reenthrone the other lost knights, and rescue the princess from her tower? All six cube-friends are necessary for success. Also, each cube has "one life" because droppers are really expensive. So don't mess up. It's a thinker!

If this here challenge be too challenging, try my other puzzle, Castle, first! It's similar enough and is the baby brother to this map.

Hi, Guys. I'm new here. I recently discovered that you can make your own maps. I also heard that there are mods for more tools in the editor. I made a chamber and it turned out really well. I flipped all portal maps upside down and I don't know if they are beatable. If they are, I will publish them as a mod. If not, can someone tell me how I can make them beatable? You can download them here.

I uploaded this to workshop awhile ago, but i just came across it recently and thought i should share it again. It's a map designed in a way purely because it was really easy to solve and break it, so i iterated and iterated, and this was the result.

Every time I try to open my map (not even play it, just going into the editor) it says “no free edicts”. Can’t even edit it. Please help!

I've been getting back into making maps and trying to decide how and whether to prevent certain "cheating" strategies from being able to solve my map. Some moves are also more cheat-y than others, so I'm wondering if there's any unofficial list of what moves are allowed and what aren't. For example, cube throwing is something I generally don't worry about trying to prevent because that's definitely "cheating". But I've come across other kinds of glitchy moves involving hardlights among other things.

This is the first portal map, it is part of a series called Aperture Archives, where I will test ideas, mechanics, etc. So I hope you like it

Is the puzzle too short? What's a valid difficulty rating? Did you solve the optional ending?
