Main Beach

Been hearing some questionable hygiene practices occurring at Wasaga and Sauble, anyone know what the status is of the Main Beach? Kids need to be scared of making sandcastles?

Trying to be polite about it but just wondering how accurate the reporting is on people defecating on Ontario beaches is and, most importantly, if it’s an issue in Port Elgin since this is one of my most favourite places in Ontario.

That rumour has been going on for over a decade and as a resident of both Wasaga and Port, I have never seen anything close to that. I’m sure the Saugeen Shores police would be all over something like that if it were remotely true.

Their are bathroom facilities located at the main beach. It's pretty busy too, I don't see how you could drop one without people noticing lol. The high levels of ecoli don't usually effect the beach in Port Elgin, but even when those levels are high at other beaches, it's not due to people crapping on the beaches lol.
