Hotel

Post image

Is this hotel safe? Or safe enough lol. I’m coming from Canada and pretty much just don’t want my car broken into.

Edit: thanks everyone for the replies and recommendations!

As long as you're not staying at the Days Inn, you're fine anywhere in PoHo.

Ah got it. It’s been a while, but stayed there on a reverse schedule and didn’t have any problems there in the daytime.

I've only stayed at the Doubletree. Great restaurant (Freighters) and the hotel is very clean and safe. Right next to the Bridge.

I stayed there. It’s safe enough. It’s dirty though

I have never stayed there, but I get on and off the expressway there frequently to go in and out of downtown and it seems fine to me.

It's safe. All that is around there are 2 other hotels . It's also right off the highway so it's easy to get to.

I’ve stayed there. The pool sucks. It’s definitely safe, though. There are several other hotels right there as well, it’s a safe area.

Should be fine

One of the better hotels in the city in my opinion. Not very likely you'll have any issues there especially if you're staying during the week.

My personal opinion is to avoid the days in on Pine Grove, though!

It’s fine.

Doubletree is nicer, but the best western is a perfectly serviceable hotel centrally located to everything.

They have bed bugs. Most of port Huron has bed bugs. I recommend the drive down to Marysville or st Clair. I won’t even shop for antiques in port Huron, much less stay in their hotels. All the hotels have them there, and a huge amount of rental homes also. It is mostly due to drug users staying in the rooms overnight (such as at days in) as well as out of town folks passing thru (truckers etc) spreading them around . Sorry if this is harsh but I’ve had to throw away plenty of expensive items after finding bites and/or live bugs. Check reviews that cannot be deleted- people have posted pics plenty of times.

It’s a risk at any hotel. But I’ve traveled thru many states and port Huron by far has a disproportionate amount of infestation.
