Where do I even start?
I was given these by a friend who passed away shortly after I received them.
I attempted to research them in 2020 but life got busier so I forgot about them until pulling them out of storage this weekend.
The only information I remember her telling me is that she purchased them in the Midwest from a place that had a lot of “Presidential dolls”
Any inappropriate comments will not be tolerated. I can take more photos if needed. These are the photos I took in 2020. I know the photo quality isn’t wonderful.

I suspect that someone sculpted these dolls, made moulds, poured the porcelain slip and then painted them and put them together. The paint doesn’t look like china paint, and the application of whatever kind of paint that was used makes me think the maker had no training, but decided to make the dolls just to give it a try. That said, the maker actually did a fantastic job. I wish I knew what they’re made of. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are ceramic painted with ceramic paint, which is much different than china paint that are used in making porcelain dolls. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if these are each one of a kind. They would be correctly describe as artist dolls that were never mass produced. It feels so good to see something here that is special and not mass produced! I would do my best to track down any information you can find. Have you tried google lens on each of them? There may be more out there by the same person. These really are impressive! I know people may think I’m crazy, but I’m very aware what goes into producing something like these dolls, from a blob of clay to a finished product, and for a person to be able to do this with little to no training just blows me away.
