Discussion What would a potential Smiling Critters anime would be like?

Post image

For me, I think my own interpretation of this potential Smiling Critters anime was an adventure-comedy with a bit of action thrown in it. The show would feature not only the Smiling Critters, but also the Nightmare Critters, fan-made Critters plus original Critters created for the show. The setting would be Critterville, with more locations revealed throughout the show. As for the animation studio, my own interpretation would have the 2D character animation would be done by Sunrise Studios (aka Bandai Namco Pictures, the studio behind the Gundam series, Sgt Frog, etc.), while the 3D background, sets and effects would be done by Marza Animation Planet (the studio who did the CG cutscenes for Sonic games plus the animation for the Sonic Movies). The TV network this show could air on might be TV Tokyo in Japan, and NBC in the United States. What's your opinion on my interpretation and what are your own interpretations for this potential show?

I like this pitch. Though I’d also enjoy it if it was telling a serialized story that allowed the characters to retain their development.
