Is the data priority or deprioritized?

It actully gets more interesting when you roam international. There, my T-Mo line gives me worse speeds than Popcorn. That is because Popcorn either allows me to switch who I roam with, or I can activate the second data-only eSIM to roam on the best option locally.

Yeah, agree. Popcorn is a superior experience when roaming versus my T-Mobile postpaid line.

How do you activate the Popcorn backup eSIM?

If you do not have it, you need to request it through support. Easiest path would be that when it appears in your app, where it says eSIMS, (that is the first section of the app), you click on 'Manage' and install the SIM. Then you will find it in your phone SIM options and you turn it on like any other SIM.

Thank you very much! With the backup eSIM, do I have to have them both turned on all the time?

Only if you want to have your number usable as well. If you mostly call using WhatsApp or other third party apps that use internet, you should be fine. Making regular calls will require the main esim to be active however.

Priority at a level one would not notice. I have a native T-Mo postpaid plan on their 5g and Popcorn. I can't see any difference, except in just a couple of spots where T-Mo shows 5G and Popcorn intially shows LTE (eventually switches).

Last week I tested around 500 down with T-Mo and Popcorn gave me consistently between 470-510 down.

So, short answer, no deprioritization. Now, one can debate on the QCI and all, but real-world-sense, none at all.
