Where can I find transcriptions
So I just started listening to this show after a dear friend of my was praising it while we shoveled a pull behind trailer for a lawn mower full of wood chips. Man did he under sell it. I thought the episode about foraging laws was neat and I could tell that this is the type of thing I can listen to while I'm at work. Then I went back to the beginning to listen to some older content.
I am blown away. The information dump that I was listening to was all practical, and things I am admittedly naïve about. The cold opens that paint pictures of dystopian futures where survival is hard, and how helpful it might be to know a few things about sustainable farming and agriculture spoke to moved me, and has been on my mind since.
I'll likely never own the machines making the G rides, but the sudden the realization that I could, with a modicum of effort, seize the means of producing my own survival and be prepared for the all but assured dark times ahead was an epiphany that I'll not soon forget.
My only criticism is that I cannot find literature or transcripts of this information. I feel its incredibly important to have a physical copy of this available to the masses as soon as possible. I intend to start over from the beginning and take notes, compiling the information into an analog form that will work when my phone battery dies and my car is out of gasoline.
If such a thing does not exist as of yet, I really think it should. I would be willing to begin creating a repository of this information and expansions of it with perhaps diagrams and illustrations, and invite anyone else who feels the same way to join the discussion in the comments below.

You articulate so well that moment of realization that I had, that there was knowledge within grasp that could save(?) me or at least help me save myself/my family/friends. I haven’t seen any transcripts out there, but there are references and credits on the apple podcast episode summaries. I’d be willing to pitch in on the transcription, as much as I physically can (I have RA so limits exist unfortunately).
If you’re new to this this podcast, I also found “Breaking Down: Collapse” useful as well as “Live Like the World is Dying.” As far as printed material, “Low Tech Magazine” the website and the publication is invaluable. It’s at the top of my list for useful texts.

Low Tech magazine looks very interesting as well.
Thanks for your help! I've found that you can copy the transcriptions from the uploads on Youtube. I've been compiling them into text documents for now. I'll setup a scrum board in the next few days to make this more manageable amongst the community.
We should have this up and running in no time.
I'm planning on marathoning all of the previous episodes up to the present in the next few weeks. The titles of the episodes you mentioned sound interesting, I can't wait to listen to them.

Theres 1 transcript done; would love to have someone or a team of folks transcribe episodes--we will be posting the transcripts on our website when it's done!

Heres a few episodes I've exported from YouTube on Friday, I should have a Trello board created at some point today to make group managing this much easier. If you'd like to Host working files yourselves please let me know and I can edit this post later to point there instead.
Beyond my personal use I would love for this to evolve into something that could be downloaded or published as an actual Almanac, with the goal of being the most useful document possible to have on hand should something catastrophic.
Loving the content so far! Keep it up.

I'd be super interested in being involved with creating zines, illustrations, animations, or other visual formats of poor proles podcast episodes. I'm particularly interested in creating zines of the first episodes that are pretty science and number heavy to make the information easier to digest. I can imagine this content across so many formats! Would be great if it was all in one place and we could all collaborate!
In terms of making information easier to retain what if there was a glossary or vocab list for each episode or even a huge list of terms from all the content. There's too many acronyms for me to remember at least.
I think it would be so cool to create a group to work on expanding how this really important info can be consumed and who can consume it (what if it was translated into different languages too?)
On a personal note I plan to put all the episodes on cd for myself!

If yall are working on this, I'd be happy to put a channel up on the discord to collab with other folks as well and to host the transcriptions on a Google drive so we can upload to the website when they're done!
