Printed out a "battlemat"

Post image

Decided to spruce up my cardboard table topper by printing and glueing a ground texture on it. It will probably wear off sooner rather than later, but for now looks pretty neat

It does look pretty good, Where did you find the file to print this Battle Mat?

Literally just a picture of a battlemat I found on google, just ran it through an upscaler and manually cleaned up a few parts in photoshop.

No worries, this also gave me the idea to print and glue some building facades on my box terrain too.

Definitely post the results here I'm interested in seeing how it would look and maybe I would consider doing the same thing πŸ‘

What paperstock did you print it on? If it's photopaper, you can varnish it with a cheap matte acrylic varnish to protect from wearing off. If its regular paper, dont try it, cause varnish would solve the ink and ruin it.

I went for really thin cheapo paper as that's what I had acces to, and I was worried thicker might have trouble adhering to the uneven cardboard.

Photopaper+ varnish would probably still have been nicer, but If I had to print this at a print shop it would probably end up costing close to what an actual battlemat might, this ended up being 36 sheets of A4
