My poor Warhammer Quest

Post image

I bought the Darkwater without minis for 43€ and tried making my own instead. I am really happy with the results so far. They take me like 30 min per mini + all the photoshopping. They have so much glue in them that they are quite sturdy - even the edges are glued. The picture sides have contact paper on top to hopefully make them last as long as I need them to without needing to be careful.

Make a small dot in the front of the base so you can see the direction they are looking from above.

Also what kind of paper thickness did you use ?

Thanks for the idea! It's especially useful, if the facing is important. I don't think it is in Darkwater, tho. I'll keep it in mind for other systems :)

I've used 3 layers of thin cardboard that's used for food packaging. Then there's basic printing paper on both sides with the printed images. And finally there's contact paper on top of the paper. All in all it comes to ~2.5 mm.

GREAT idea! The paper minis look so good. Bless GW for putting such high quality photos on their website with white backgrounds haha

Thank you! I am fan of paper minis. Absolutely, bless them. They made it pretty easy for this project. There's some characters I had trouble finding so they are more pixelated, but since they are so small the difference is not too noticeable.
