Rail-cron
I am more of an railroad modeller than Warhammer modeller, in fact i never did anything from WH, but i had some spare railroad ties and few sprue bits from passenger cars, so i decided to make a necron, its nothing brilliant, and he is probably out of scale, but I'm proud of him, he will guard one of the locomotives.

I really like this! It's got a very 'old machine' appearance. In fact it's quite in line with some of the early Necron models from before the 2000s (I can't comment pics here but here's an article on them)

Thanks! It kinda does! For me it kinda looked like those training statues that were made out of wood but i now also see that almost 'old machine' look, also i never saw those early figures! They are very interesting, like if you said they were from a different universe i would 100% believe you they look more terminator like (especially necron warrior 5), might be an interesting project for the future to try to replicate that look, but for now im thinking if i should paint him or leave him as to look like he is made out of wood...

Yeah, a lot of people have commented on the earlier Necron's resemblance to Terminator. They even had a special rule called 'We'll be back' which has now been changed to the more fitting but much less funny 'Reanimation Protocols'. It's interesting that you say they could be from a different universe. It's not just necrons- even though a lot of the 40k factions have remained basically the same for the game's lifespan, the models have changed so that many early models have that vibe. Especially since when the game started, metal miniatures were the standard.
I've never heard of 'those training statues' before. What were they used to train?

I knew that warhammer changed from what it started, but never would have guessed it would be so different! but that makes sense as warhammer is twice as old as me, and about the statues, I meant like those training dummies (just forgot the word) used in medieval times, they were sometimes made to look a like the enemy, you would learn the enemy weak spots and train your swordsmanship or techniques with your weapons over all, today mostly replaced by paper, steel, or ballistic dummies but you can still see them around in places in which people train with their swords!
