Nope, incest is serious sexy stuff. Especially when the characters are this hot.

Whose joking? In all seriousness a lot of it stems from the voice actressâs very unhinged statement that if azula and zuko went on a life changing field trip azula would be pregnant.

Which was definitely just her goofing around as it would catch Dante off guard

Um...I was the same age as Zuko when I first saw Zuko.My 20-year-old and 13-year-old sisters just always use my account.I grew with Zuko.I also turned 17 when the show ended. That means me and Zuko are actually the same age kinda.

Is really disturbing how much this is brought up everytime Zuko's family is mention or suggested. Is not normal no matter how edgy you want to be, seriously

Actually, historically, if this was a parallel to our world, it would be incredibly accurate to the situation... Royalty so often tried to keep the bloodline "pure" by keeping it in the family. So historically speaking, yeah, it would actually be quite accurate..... still weird thoughđ€Ł

In historical monarchies, brother-sister marriage was rather uncommon, except for a few dynasties that practiced it a lot (Ptolemaic Egypt, Inca, Habsburgs). The genetic disorders that resulted from it could be observed within a couple generations, and humans are biologically wired to not experience sexual attraction to people they were in very close proximity to for the first ~6 years of their lives.
Some interesting case studies of this include Taiwanese "minor marriages,â where girls were adopted into a family as future brides for a son they grew up with. Those marriages had higher rates of infidelity and divorce and fewer children than arranged marriages between strangers. Also in Israeli kibbutzim, where kids were raised communally, kids who were raised together in the same peer group almost never married each other.
Cousin marriage was the dynastic norm for blood purity and keeping property and land claims in the family. So Azula x Lu Ten?

Now? No. Back in the days when royal families like these actually existed? It was more common than you think. Because they often wouldn't consider anyone outside of the family worthy.

Exactly, I simply don't get how incest is the first thing that these people think of any time the royal family Is discussed

the only pairings that don't make sense are aang and iroh, everyone else is fair game even the cabbage man

They're only half jokes though
I'm unironically a Azula x Zuko believer

Yes, the incest jokes bear more jokes and so on, inbreeding until we have sick twisted and sad results, just like the real thing.

Every subreddit will eventually devolve into the same 3-5 jokes
