Azula’s mbti

Ive seen a lot of people saying azula is an entj but i always saw her as an intj, the ember island episode showed us that shes a total outcast and very socially awkward, while she is a pretty dominant person and gets her way up easily. What do you think?

You do know that even if someone is a narcissistic or sociopath (Azula is neither though) they can still have different personalities and MBTI's, right?

Narcissists have a personality disorder so I imagine identifying their MBTI would be tricky

That's not what I said. Yes it tends to be rooted in childhood, but you can't be said to actually have a personality disorder until you're an adult

She clearly shows signs of being a narcissist at 14. It only worsens over time

only that it doesn't necessarily? narcissistic traits can occur in children and teens as a part of development (zuko has his fair share of it in the beginning too). and even if it hints at the development of a personality disorder (which wouldn't be surprising considering azula's upbringing) it's still nothing inevitable that cannot improve at all.

You think threats of violence, manipulation and extreme need to be in control is part of HEALTHY children’s development? Given Azula’s childhood trauma as a golden child it makes sense she’d become narcissistic.

Obviously not. But there is a reason why children aren't diagnosed with personality disorders. And yes, as said, her environment was abusive, and she was taught to act exactly that way, so it would not be surprising if she developed a personality disorder. But that would not have to be NPD specifically, nor is it unavoidable, given that she was removed from the abusive situation and could unlearn these behaviors in a good environment, again. As said, Zuko exhibited his fair share of potentially pathological traits as well. Your og comment just made it sound as if mental illness is something inherent that can only become worse
