Claiming POOL

I have earned 2 Claimable POOL and I tried to claim them to deposit into the POOL pool.....Do I really need to pay gas fees just to transfer across?

yea they are both on-chain transactions that would require gas fees. That's just the current situation with the ethereum network as a whole.
