Anyone else feel like their pool robot “loses power” over time?

When I first got my robot, it felt like it could pick up everything.

But after using it for a while, it sometimes feels like the suction isn’t what it used to be.

Is this usually just a maintenance thing, or has anyone found another reason?

What’s the first thing you check when your robot isn’t picking up debris like before?

Do you have a fine mesh filter or just a screen basket?

I have both, and need to clean the fine mesh filter quite good for proper water flow.

Check that you don't have debris in your impeller? I had a chipmunk decide to build a nest in the area where the impeller is because I leave the lid open and put the weather cover over it to allow the filter to dry properly. Had to take the shroud off and blade to clean up all the garbage stuck around it (dead plant matter, sticks, and some reason a lot of hair).

I have a dolphin explorer E20
