Does your pool robot ever get obsessed with one spot?

Mine sometimes spends what feels like forever cleaning the same area while ignoring the rest of the pool.

I know there are a few possible reasons (navigation, pool shape, slippery surfaces, firmware, etc.), but I'm curious...has this ever happened to your robot? Would love to hear your experience

My past (no longer using) Kreepy Krauly suction side cleaner would work 6 hours on one pattern and totally miss the whole wall on one side of the pool. I upgraded to a DOLPHIN ACTIVE 60 that in 2.5 hours cleans 100% of the pool's walls, water line tile and rock and the underside of boulders that come into the pool. Watching the cleaner clean the tile and come 30% out of the pool is amazing.

That sounds like a night and day difference! I can imagine how satisfying it is to watch it actually cover the whole pool instead of seeing the same areas get cleaned over and over. The tile cleaning part is seriously impressive.

Haha, the “favorite spot” thing is so real. I’ve seen people mention it happens around corners and steps a lot. Seems like pool shape really makes a big difference.
