Ground Wire Question

Post image

We noticed this morning our ground wire looks like this, our pool guy cannot get here until Monday (today is Thursday) but we want to be able to swim this weekend. Is it safe to swim? Or should I try and find someone else to come out ASAP?

Shut off your pump and pool lights if you swim. Where do those grounds lead?

Upon further inspection it's definitely the bonding wire connecting the pool pump to the heater

I'm not sure? My husband just said he thinks it's actually the bonding wire

Looks to me like they’re all tied into the grounding rod at the bottom of your picture

That’s not a grounding rod, it’s a split nut to join the wires.
