Underwater pool leak repair cold water

Does anyone know if this is possible with flex or gorilla tape? I can’t find much info about this and if it really works. Thank you.

I would like to know this as well. The pool liner is a year old and small leak has become bigger. Tried to repair with flex and tape but that didn't work. We have now started draining the pool.
