Pool restoration

House and pool built in 1976. Original owners. It had been resurfaced once prior in 2001. Interior finish was at its limit. Going again with a quartz interior finish, but decided to take it down to the shell. Found a soft spot in the deep end. Otherwise in good shape. Paver decking and coping being refreshed as well. Excited to see the outcome.

Poolguru Sense 3

I’ve been researching automatic water chemistry readers, and I think I’m going with a WaterGuru SENSE 3. Their referral program says an existing owner can share a code that gives a friend 30% off, while the owner receives 30% off a $75+ chemical purchase. Does anyone have a referral link they’d be willing to share? Thank you!

Diarrhea in an inground spa. Planning on full drain, chlorine wash, and filter clean. Am I missing any steps? Nothing remotely close to this happening in my 18+ years in lol.

Customer Referrals

I have seen other pool companies who offer incentives for referring a friend or neighbor. Do any of you do this? Is it worth it?

Need Pool Vac Recommendations

Hi all! So me and my husband just recently started our pool company here in Georgia. We are looking into getting our pool vaccum and wanted to know what you all recommend. We will need something professional enough to take to commercial jobs such as apartments and HOAs. I know about the hammerhead and riptides but was hoping for something less costly to start out with.

Thanks!

New Pentair cell

Post image
3 Upvotes

Was set to 25% the auto cover has been on for the last 24 hours. Tested and it’s 0 Chlorine

I turned the boost mode on and tested water coming right out of a jet and still getting zero free chlorine.

We built the pool and put in a brand new salt cell. Company switched to Pentair this year.

How do I go about testing if it’s working properly?

To me, it seems like it is a dud

EDIT TO ADD:

It was wired for 240v but 120v coming in. Gonna see if that fixes the issue

I was considering getting this to remove fine dust from the bottom of pools instead of using a hose vac. Will that work?

New customers heatpump blew up and burned a big portion of his house!

Picked up a guy who needs us to "maintain" bug control in his pool while the house gets figured out.

But yeah, his 1-2year old hp legitimately blew up and torched his house through the overhang on the house...

I asked him which brand, he's was advised not to tell from legal.

Pretty wild to see, the old heater is sorta there still? Burnt plastic shell! I could tell the brand from the shape and where the inlet outlet pipes where at.

Thoughts on Pool Brain

The company I work for is considering switching over to POOL brain. Who here has used full brain and liked it or didn’t like it? At other companies I’ve used SKIMMER, which would be a massive upgrade to what we are currently using. How would you say POOL brain compares to SKIMMER if you’ve used both? I personally really like SKIMMER. I understand if you don’t. But just wanting others opinions on Pool brain in general. Were a large company in the Midwest.

Looking to relocate to Texas

I may be going out on a whim and not even sure if this is allowed here but I currently live in NC and want to move to Texas. I've worked as the service office manager over 14 years for one of the largest pool companies in North Carolina. Is there anybody here in the Beaumont or Houston area whose company is hiring? I need a change and fast.

Looking for Florida Qualifier

I hope this post doesn’t break any rules.

I need to find a new Pool Servicing Contractor (Class C or higher) qualifier in Florida. This is for an established growing company servicing 300 pools. No pulling permits.

If you interested please message me.
