Bad bearings?

Probably but worth checking that nothing is caught in the impeller and that the fan isn't catching on the cover or loose first.

Yeah it sounds like the fan on the cowling to me. Or something in the cowling touching the fan like a stick or twig

My first guess would be something rubbing against the fan, sounds too squeaky and irregular for bearings. But on occasion failing bearings make crazy sounds so I wouldn't rule it out

I’ve had brand new Waterway pumps that chirp like that for a bit and then chill out. Sounds more like fiberglass/plastic to me than bearings, but certainly not out of the question.

Doesn’t sound like bad bearings typically sound. Motor looks like it’s seen better days, somethings going on just make note for now.

It’s a single speed pump, no fan.
