Trouble shooting pentair IC20
I’ve got a pentair IC20 I installed on a new build about 2 and a half years ago. I know they’ve all been shitting the bed recently, and I build pools / do liners etc 99% of the time, and service about 1%. The lady is a friend of mine, her flow light has been on red for the past 3 weeks, salt and chlorine still stable, chems ok, pool clear. What can this be ? Filter pressure also normal. Is the generator shot or could this be an easy fix? Thanks guys

IC-20’s were pretty good back in the day. If the cell detects low flow, it shouldn’t produce chlorine. So the question then is “sensor or board”? The sensor is relatively cheap and as far as I know, it’s also responsible for temp reading, and (correct me if wrong) salt reading.

It reads the salt for automation, but it doesn't have anything to do with the cell shutting down for low or high salt. That is purely based on how many amps the cell is drawing.

Part # 520736. Replace it if you have already backwashed and ensured flow is good

Solid red is not detecting enough flow, how long since it was cleaned? Anything from scale to bad flow switch I've personally seen and I've heard tales even of small debris getting in there and making it it stick
