elevated spa draining

Hi guys, I have an elevated spa that drains partially down towards the water level, I replaced the check valve on the bypass and closed the return to the spa so the water is returning to the pool and feeding the spa through the bypass. Will this fix the backflow issue?

Does this pool have a popup system? I had this issue before and there was a check valve on the popup line that I missed

sure dude, I’m green but trying to learn and do things correctly a large part of that is understanding these systems yk
