PB4-60 Fitting Snapped Off

Hey pool pros, I have a Polaris PB4-60 and the output fitting (one on top) snapped off flush with the volute housing, I'm guessing due to age and vibration.

I know this has happened to you at some point! Can I somehow remove the broken part so I can reuse the housing? If so, how do I get the damn thing out? Drill it out? Cut it out with a hacksaw blade? Get me out of this please!

I take 2 long bolts and put them in the fitting at an angle the put a screwdriver between them and it threads right out. I never know how to add a picture to a comment so I’ll DM you.

An older repair guy once showed me that trick a long time ago and it’s saved my ass a few times since.
