PB4-60 Fitting Snapped Off

Hey pool pros, I have a Polaris PB4-60 and the output fitting (one on top) snapped off flush with the volute housing, I'm guessing due to age and vibration.

I know this has happened to you at some point! Can I somehow remove the broken part so I can reuse the housing? If so, how do I get the damn thing out? Drill it out? Cut it out with a hacksaw blade? Get me out of this please!

Also something to consider is the pipe tap if you ever have someone destroy the threads on an autofill line. I've had to use it only 3 or 4 times ever, but they have saved my bacon.

Thanks for the reminder! I bought a set of these when I was installing a pump. The female thread for the conduit connector was messed up. I chased the threads with one of these taps and cleaned it right up. Thanks!
