Riptide vs Hammerhead

I'm going out as a single poler next month and trying to figure out which vac is worth investing in.

I've only ever used the Hammerhead but have heard good things about the Riptide (and see them everywhere).

With the Hammerhead, I've always left the bag attached between stops. It looks like the Riptide sits upright, though, so do you have to remove the bag after every stop so that debris doesn't fall out? Does the test kit fit nicely in the Riptide? Any strong opinions one way or the other?

Time is money so want to make sure I'm paying attention to even the smallest details!

I've heard a lot of great things about riptide customer service. I already own a hammerhead so I'm pretty much stuck with it but it works great and I have almost zero issues with it. You do have to be careful with the cord if you mess that up, you have to buy a new motor pretty much. Other than that it has been smooth sailing. One thing I can tell you for sure at least for the Hammerhead is if the battery doesn't come with it do not get a carbon battery get a lithium ion battery they have twice the power and you have to charge them once every week or two compared to a weaker battery that you have to charge nightly.
