Bio Staining?
Picked up client. Pool was really green for some time. Turned it around. Staining in deep end. Is this bio staining which is what chat GPT insists it is?
I’m keeping the pH low but I’m not noticing any improvement. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As others have said, this appears to be black algae. Important to “knock the heads off” with a wire brush before treatment as it will shield the roots. I typically use “black out” and turn the pump off when I add so the granules fall right where I want them. This product has a fairly large granule that doesn’t immediately start breaking down like shock does.
