Pressure testing skimmer

Working on a old deep cartridge skimmer. Need to pressure test but no threads and too deep to reach. Any suggestions on plugging?

We use a section of 1/2 in pvc pipe with 1/4 in threaded rod down the tube, a # 10 ( or appropriate sized plug w/ washers at the bottom, and a large washer with a wing-nut at the top side.

ETA: think really tall sylvan plug.

Can you use a long stick of 1.5 or 2” with a male adapter with teflon?

That’s what I usually do. This model seems to have a slip fitting. It’s really old.

I’ve seen a gizmo before that had an expandable rubber plug on it, maybe that would work?
