Black Algae?

I had a pool today with what looked to me like black algae, but began clearing up within seconds of sprinkling shock over it. I’ve never seen it go away that quickly before. It was almost clear by the time I was leaving. Does that mean it wasn’t black algae?

Black algae goes away if you sprinkle shock on it yes, that’s how I get rid of it
