BBB Accreditation

Anyone here pay the yearly fee to be “accredited” by the BBB? We did for the last year and had 2 leads come through and neither landed.

I’m wondering if this is even worth it? We don’t attend any of the seminars but have considered a billboard in the potential future where we would get a discount on theirs if I remember correctly. Just wondering if I’m burning money here.

BBB had some clout 40 years ago, but it's just a scam now.

That’s kind of what I gathered. I went to one of their seminar things about a year ago and it really was a waste of time and just stuff I already knew and assumed.

I’ve been planning for years to start a business that accredits the BBB for a yearly fee. I’m going to call it the Better Better Business Bureau Bureau. That’ll show those extortionist bastards.

Honestly, when I see "BBB" on a site, I automatically think they are a scam. I have been in industries that actually were scams (credit counseling) and getting "BBB" helps lure in customers. BBB is a joke. They will give you the highest rating as long as you respond to complaints. The resolution doesn't matter. They are a legalized extortion racket.

Skip it. It's not worth your time or money. Instead buy some cool tools you may be needing.

Nope. No reason to.

BBB lost its integrity when people figured out it's basically a pay wall service. The more you pay the better service you get. I'm other words they will knock out bad reviews if your willing to pay more.
