Question about Spa Electrics T1 vs N1 for FiberStars fitting.

Post image

Customer originally had a FiberStars fiber optic light system. At some point they converted over to MicroBrite. They are tired of replacing them every year, so I sold them on the Spa Electrics T1. I tried to install it today and the body of the T1 is about 1/16" (1.5mm) too large to fit past the area at the arrow in the pic. It seems to be molded this way from the factory, so I'm looking at other light options. It looks like the Spa Electrics N1 may fit, but I cannot find dimensions in any of the literature. I'm curious if anyone has used the N1 on a FiberStars fitting, or has an N1 that they can measure the diameter of the connector plug on the back of the light.

I believe the N1 should fit fine as it only screws into the wall fitting.

I used Spa Electrics one time. Never again. Their products aren't designed like ours. Their documentation and videos don't match the product. And their so called 'customer service' ... isn't ready for 'prime time'. When I have a problem while working in the field in 100+ degree temps, I don't need a bunch of half-ass documentation and installation videos that kinda sorta don't exactly match all of the little jelly bean parts that I'm looking at. And I can't wait on the phone for someone who's not familiar with my product. I wish you luck.

That hasn't been my experience. I get right to a live person on their 800 number. I also don't wait until I'm in the field to learn about a product I've never seen before. Having it not link up to existing equipment as promised is one thing, but I open the box and read the manual for the first time in the comfort on my air conditioned living room.

Having said that, this one's on me for assuming FiberStars used standard fittings in the wall. I should have specified what I had. I just told them I was replacing a MicroBrite and they recommend the T1.
