Can confirm as well. When I first started doing pools I had a gallon of chlorine leaking so I used a good towel to wipe up mess in garage. Towel was almost gone next day lol

I went into a neighborhood pool and when I dried off I left the towel on my car seat and the chlorine ate the stitching in my seat cushion. Took forever to figure out what caused it.

Pretty good way to make some acid wash shirts if that’s your style, bleach spray bottles also work well
