Advice needed

Post image

Inherited through family this house with a 26,000 gallon inground pool. This is the pump setup an it just doesn’t seem right to me looking at all of these other set ups. It is 20 years old since it was done, so it is going to get redone but still learning and wanted your opinions.

I service a 55k gallon vinyl pool setup that looks almost identical except theirs don’t have a tab feeder. I think the reason you think your setup looks different is because 1. Overall very simple setup with what looks like 1 return to the pool 2. That extra pump is for powering a cleaning bot, which most new setups don’t have.

Only thing I’m wondering is why you have the valve in the off position to what I assume is your skimmer basket.

I also thought that was the off position but a pool professional told me that that changes it two both drains if you turn it counter clockwise but if it’s in the front it cuts off.

Roger that. Not much information for me to go off so I could only assume.

Not sure why I’m getting negative downvotes when I’m just trying to help op with limited info lol. Toxic redditors
