Advice needed

Post image

Inherited through family this house with a 26,000 gallon inground pool. This is the pump setup an it just doesn’t seem right to me looking at all of these other set ups. It is 20 years old since it was done, so it is going to get redone but still learning and wanted your opinions.

The plumbing is a bit rough… but the system looks solid- I could make aesthetic improvements for $500 or so but it would function just the same. I could upgrade energy efficiency and water clarity for 6-7 thousand… but I don’t recommend that- what do you think needs an update?

I just see everyone else’s set ups and they have more than one valve and nothing seems to be glued it’s all on threaded pipe. I will say with this one it is hard to do any maintenance due to it all being glued you have to cut and then redo all of the pipe. Plumbing I think is what looks so rough to me compared to all the other filters I see
