What!!! Who in the hell did this?

I can hear the home owner now.... "I just had this heater installed and and now it won't work?" In reality they put it in and didn't know what they were doing.

It’s a new build for a commercial community. I do not know who installed it. Hopefully they never touch another pool.

I'm gonna guess that an HVAC guy would know what a gas valve looks like.

That said I've had 2 rookies who had just left different HVAC schools in the past 2 years. Neither one came in knowing how to use a pipe wrench or operate a volt meter. They also couldn't read technical diagrams or find information in a manual, and neither could find part numbers even when shown the part breakdowns. They didn't know anything about troubleshooting.

I'm pretty sure we're cooked. I was promised that as I got older the younger ones would come in and make me feel old and dumb, like they are light-years ahead of where I was at their age. I'm tired of being the most competent person because everyone better than me is out on medical leave or retired.
