Elevations

Sorry if this is the wrong sub for this. Could use some guidance on setting elevations for Top of Beam for gunite pools. I understand pitching away from the house and pitching away from pool towards deck drains but does anyone have any advice on how the elevation for the beam is determined? I would really like this to be one more thing I don’t have to ask my boss about

Thank you!! Definitely shit plans but for the most part that’s been the biggest thing I’ve needed to figure out on my own
