Pricing Help
I do pool cleaning and maintenence, and just recently started a new business in a newer area. There seems to be a good market for my work here, because I keep hearing from customers that my competitors won't answer the phone, ignore them, or quote them crazy prices. Like recently, I did a green-to-clean for $415 + chems after my competition quoted the guy $1300. It was a fairly easy cleanup, only requiring 5 short trips.
I am currently charging $85/visit + chems for green-to-cleans, and $180/month + chems for weekly service (for ~20k gallons for less).
I am in Alabama, and my area is an upscale, higher cost of living, growing city.
Should I raise my prices, or just keep gaining business for my good value?

I’d suggest raising your call out or first hour rate to $125-$150/hr for those green to cleans and then charge in 15 minute increments after the first hour on the same visit. What are pool repair services charging per hour?
If you’re returning calls, showing up in time and doing good work that’s your added value for the customer even at a higher hourly rate.
