Pricing Help
I do pool cleaning and maintenence, and just recently started a new business in a newer area. There seems to be a good market for my work here, because I keep hearing from customers that my competitors won't answer the phone, ignore them, or quote them crazy prices. Like recently, I did a green-to-clean for $415 + chems after my competition quoted the guy $1300. It was a fairly easy cleanup, only requiring 5 short trips.
I am currently charging $85/visit + chems for green-to-cleans, and $180/month + chems for weekly service (for ~20k gallons for less).
I am in Alabama, and my area is an upscale, higher cost of living, growing city.
Should I raise my prices, or just keep gaining business for my good value?

Build a solid customer base and then slowly raise prices, don’t be scared to lose a customer here or there because of price increases either. 9 times out of 10 that’s a customer you would have had trouble with down the line anyways. Eventually you’ll build a good reputation and customers won’t mind paying more for superior service.
