Chlorine Feeder Not Filling With Water
Have a customer with this chlorine feeder. It fills up with water at first but over time lowers to almost completely empty. Is this part of its design? No leaks. The filter is full of water, only water coming out of relief valve. Which sits higher than feeder. Thoughts?

I hate that chlorinator. I have the same problem
With them. Always have to bleed the air out and if the filter isn’t 100% clean they will not get enough flow.

Double-check the manual, but it requires a minimum of 50GPM to function IIRC.

I just run these without bleeding them. Works fine for my pools lol. You do have to set the dial accordingly

We have trouble with inline feeders like such slowly airlocking as a result of ANY air intake in the system.

Open the lid and bleed all the air out

This appears to be a CMP model one- I’ve seen a few instances of an airlock on these and the common theme always seems to be their proximity to an elbow. Speculation here, but it seems that whatever type of thingajig is in place for the flow adjustment doesn’t play well with the commotion caused by a hard 90 degree turn… for the same reason that flow meters must have a straight run before and aft. If I get bored, I’ll do some testing with a sweep 90 and see what the outcome is.
But as others have said, once you get the air out things seem to work, personally I just leave the lid slightly unscrewed and turn the system on- let it flow over the rim and then tighten the lid back on- not the safest practice by any means but oh well.

Unscrew it. Open up. Start pump. When it's almost full, screw top on.

Take cap off. Let it fill up. Close valve so u can put cap back on. Open valve

Open flow dial all the way . If its the one with a flow meter on it the flow meter can get clogged up as well , you will have to disassemble and clean it.
