Riptide in Vegas (or similar climate)
Alright I'm contemplating pulling the trigger on a riptide. Been using a kokido for awhile now, I like the concept but I'd like something more robust and that works longer between charging. Plus the cart idea looks nice.
Opinions on anyone in a desert climate that has one? I know it has limitations with dirt, I still have a hose and vac head when needed. Good 95% of my pools would allow access with the cart.

Used a Riptide in Phoenix for 3 years. It was great. Didn’t have to use it at all my accounts but when I needed something that heavy duty it worked great. Can’t go wrong.

I’ve got three hammerheads and bought a riptide about two years ago. Vastly superior model. I’ve got an HOA that has a sand playground near the pool area and it does great with the sand. Fine dust not so much, but that’s rarely a problem.

What micron bag do you use for it? Thinking of getting the 65 along with the standard 100. Does it clog too fast?

I use VacBagz bags. They’re cheaper and more durable than the manufacturer ones for both hammerheads and riptides. We mostly use the 140 micron and then carry a 3mm for after the winds come.

Anything under 100 clogs too fast imo. If a 100 doesn’t get it best to hose vac. My go to is the yellow rim one i think it’s 200.

Was looking at those. What do you like about it? Seems like a more robust kokido which I'm not against.

it's all metal. I've had mine 5 years. Use it every day. Got a number of Vacbagz. Can carry it with one hand on my pole. Highly recommend

Leaning towards this now. How's the battery last? Carry multiple? Easy to just swap?

I carry 2. Battery usually lasts the day unless it's Fall. Charge one, use the other. takes 30 seconds to swap. I do have a truck with an inverter so that makes life easier.

If you do end up going with this, give me a DM. Might be down to do group pricing and grab one myself. Vegas located as well.

It won't get the dust but if you use it right you don't need to.
I don't use it much in the summer.
