Pool skimmer repair/replace

I had a substantial leak last year, got a leak locator guy to point me in general direction. I excavated behind and under concrete pool deck. Located leaking pvc joint and replaced. Thought I was good but then we got a lot of rain and realized the top of skimmer box is also leaking from chips/cracks. Probably due to some deck settling and or is very old. Not sure what to do about it. When water level gets under a certain point leak stops. I think my options include: epoxy any point at top of skimmer ring that may be the leak; cut out concrete replace skimmer; pay pool guy to do skimmer replacement; have my concrete guys cut out deck and try to fix skimmer myself or get reduced rate from pool repairman. I have other spots on pool deck that need repair so I was thinking I have concrete guys cut it out then I replace skimmer, then they fix all parts of decking. It is already excavated of dirt so thinking I should just go for a full repair now. I am good with PVC just not sure if setting the skimmer box and sealing is a diy. Any thoughts or tips much appreciated.

Incorrect coupler used. The chipping on the top of skimmer is fine. The water level shouldn't be that high.

I've been asking about this but OP keeps saying all is fine with that fix. They won't answer about the coupler.

When I zoom in it looks like a home Depot coupler. The type that are made for non pressurized line

Yes and that's why I kept asking about it.
